Senior Horticulture Education
Our Senior Horticulture Program offers an hour of gardening and craft therapy tailored to special needs of seniors. This program includes gardening and garden-related crafts that helps reconnect seniors to the many therapeutic benefits of nature.
This is a pay-for-fee service, which means Green of Hearts does not provide the service free of charge. The communities interested in this program for their residents pay a fee, at cost, for the program.
Guided Community Practice
Our Guided Community Practice Program offers complete garden services to self-funding communities, such as schools, churches and community groups. Your organization provides the funding, and we provide our gardening expertise - including garden installation, education, motivation and long-term maintenance plans.
Immersive Community Support
Our Immersive Community Support Program offers both complete garden services and funding to schools, churches and community groups. We provide our gardening expertise and all the funding needed to install and maintain a community garden.
Our first immersive community support initiative is with Interfaith Outreach Home (IOH), a transitional group home in Doraville, Georgia. Their goal is to empower families to overcome homelessness and successfully return to the larger community. Green of Hearts is working to install 10 raised garden beds, one for each IOH family apartment, as well as gardening and life skills instruction to ensure each family is equipped to maintain and enjoy the benefits of the gardens.
